We are trying to expand our organization to include individuals, couples, and families who are not interested in living together or in an income-sharing community, but they are interested in cooperative efforts to help each other have and raise families.

Our current plan is to offer home-schooling for a reduced rate of $2300 per year and allow parents to donate work for Children for the Future in return for further discounts in or total elimination of the home-schooling fees. At present, our small home-school covers grades one through eight, although we are likely to expand into the first year of high school next year.

We are interested in developing day care services for our members, which would also be at a reduced cost and also allow members to defray the cost, if desired, by donating work to Children for the Future. Baby-sitting is also available.

Information is available on free or subsidized health insurance for children as well as free or subsidized day care through governmental programs.

We are developing a family entertainment program including day and overnight trips including hiking, swimming, canoeing, and much, much more. On our list in the near future is a trip overnight to Turkey Run and a day trip to a clay beach, which is great for making clay figures. Our kids are always excited about having more friends to play with.

Do give us a call and do join us. Membership is free. We hope to start a weekly organizational meeting and a weekly discussion group, but participation would not be required.
